9 changes proposed to the IBC by the Injeti Srinivas Committee

In November 2017, the Government of India constituted a 14-member committee, headed by Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) Secretary, Mr. Injeti Srinivas, to review the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, 2016 (“IBC“), and to suggest any amendments to the same.

The Committee received  recommendations from stakeholders, deliberated upon relevant issues, and considered market practices and legal principles. The Committee then consolidated its recommendations and suggested amendments to the IBC in its report published in March, 2018.

In this presentation, Namrata Bhagwatula reviews and summarizes the key recommendations and suggested amendments to the IBC, made by the Injeti Srinivas Committee.
