Basics of Sports Law Course at IISM

August 2016 

Amrut Joshi was invited to be a Guest Faculty at International Institute of Sports Management, a sports management education institution, based in Mumbai.

Amrut taught a 16-hour “Basics of Sports Law” course for students of the 2016-17 class of the Post-Graduate Program in Sports Management and the Bachelor of Sports Management Program.

The concepts that were covered during the course included:

(a) What is Sports Law;

(b) Sources of Sports Law;

(c) Structuring Player Contracts and Player Management Agreements;

(d) Structuring Sponsorship and Franchise Agreements; and

(e) Understanding Sports Integrity Issues.
