NITI Aayog to Make Public Data Accessible to Start-ups
The government think tank, NITI Aayog has plans to make public data easily accessible for start-ups and other private organizations through a new online portal. This decision was made specifically to address specific sector-related issues while making use of technologies like artificial intelligence (“AI”).
Start-ups can now obtain the data required with the use of AI, to tackle India-specific problems. The portal will be functional in six months and guidelines as to the use of AI and public data by private institutions will be published by the Government on the same.
DCF Ventures Collaborates With Israeli SOSA
DCF Ventures of India has collaborated with the Israel based open innovation platform South of Salame (“SOSA”). This partnership aims to facilitate a connection between the start-ups of India and Israel in the areas of big data, insurtech, fintech, cybertech and cleantech among others.
SOSA is an open innovation platform that was founded in 2013 by 25 prominent Israeli high-tech entrepreneurs and investors. It brings together corporations, entrepreneurs, investors and startups under one roof in order to nurture as well as scale up innovation. As part of the partnership, a special team will be formed to understand and map key innovation objectives. SOSA will also allow for corporations to set up innovation hubs in New York and Israel. To this end, DCF Ventures is ready to collaborate with organizations that seek to establish incubators, corporate innovation programs, accelerators or work with the Israeli or Indian start-up ecosystems.
